Start-up grants

Aim

Barncancerfonden (The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation) calls for proposals for start-up grants for national and international collaborations within children oncology research. The aim is to achieve research group collaborations and consortia and provide funding to apply for larger grants, such as EU grants.

Terms and conditions for the call
The grants is allocated as a non-recurring grant to cover costs associated with the application procedure. Costs to apply for include start-up meetings, travel costs and other possible costs associated with the application procedure. In exceptional cases, salary costs for application writing may be granted.

The application for start-up grants should include a project description as an appendix that describes the planned research and the consortium. Barncancerfonden finances research expected to be beneficial for children with cancer. Applications with an indirect relevance for children oncology may also be granted. The relevance for Swedish patients and/or children oncology research in Sweden should however be clearly stated in the application. For example, clinical projects may include Swedish patients.
